Government of India Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme

In order to encourage the Backward Class Students to undergo Post-Matric Courses, the Government of India has introduced a scheme known as the Government of India Post-Matric Scholarship to Scheduled Castes students.

Eligibility

  1. The parents/Guardian annual income up to Rs. 200000 limit for full scholarship.
  2. Student category should be Scheduled caste or Navbouddha
  3. Student should be resident of Maharashtra
  4. Student studying above 10th std.

Benefits

Under this scheme the eligible Scheduled Castes including Nav-Buddha students are paid maintenances allowance ranging from Rs. 230 p.m. to Rs.450 PM for boys and girls (day scholar) and Rs. 1200 p.m. for boys and girls (Hostellers). In addition to maintenance allowance all fees which are compulsorily payable by the students to the institutions are also covered under the scheme.
