Pre-matric Scholarships to Children of those who are engaged in unclean occupation. The Scheme is under Centrally Sponsored Scheme. The children of those parents who are engaged in unclean occupation in sweeping, scavenging, Tanning and Flaying are given scholarship from Std. I to Std. X

Eligibility

  1. Any category student can apply for the scheme.
  2. No Income limit
  3. Parents must be engaged in unclean occupation.
  4. Students must be studying in any govt. or govt. aided school.
  5. Student must be a resident of Maharashtra.
  6. Central details would be shared through API and central will disburse at their end.
  7. All board student except Self Finance student school are eligible for the scheme.
  8. If student gets fail for the year he/she is not eligible till he/she pass the class.

Benefits

For Hosteller - Rs 700 p.m. for 10 months and Rs. 1000 Adhoc Grant for books and study material

For Day-Scholar - Rs 110 p.m. for 10 months and Rs. 750 Adhoc Grant for books and study material

  1. 60% share is of Central and 40% is of state.
  2. Disbursement will happen in one instalment.

Note: No extra benefit for more than 10 months. For less than 10 months, the beneficiary will be paid for only the no. of months he attended school from the date of admission.

Documents

The applicants are required to attach the following documents -

  1. Domicile Ceriticate
  2. Engaged in unclean occupation require certificate of Competant Authority such as Gram sevak and sarpanch, Head of Municipal Corporation, Commissioner of Corporation/ Dy. Commissioner / ward Officer.
  3. Self-declaration about engaged in unclean occupation on Rs. 20 stamp paper.
