Pune Municipal Corporation provided financial assistance for private class fees of 10th class students in backward-class communities under the Backward Welfare Scheme (10th Quality Enhancement).

Eligibility
- Annual family income by all means should be less than Rs.1,00,000/-
- If the number of children in the family exceeds two due to surviving children born after 01/05/2001, the benefit of the scheme will not be availed.
- Right to change the terms and conditions / reject the application Hon. Deputy Commissioner, Social Development Department. It will remain with Pune Municipal Corporation. Also, their decision regarding this matter will be final.

Documents
The applicants are required to attach the following documents -
- Attested copy of applicant's Aadhaar Card and Bank Passbook must be attached.
- As proof that the family has resided in the Pune Municipal Corporation limits for at least 3 years, one of the last 3 years' Municipal Tax Receipt or Light Bill or Telephone Bill (Landline) or Cottage Photo Pass / Cottage Service Charge Receipt / Rent Agreement must be attached.
- Attested copy of ration card must be attached for child verification.
- Caste certificate is required to be attached in case of backward class
- Disability certificate will be required to be attached in case of disabled persons.
- Must have more than 50% marks in class 9th pass examination; mark certificate must be attached.
- Private class fee receipt must be attached. It is necessary to fill all the forms in the recommendation of Head of School and Head of Private Class.
- Slum applicants should attach income proof of the neighborhood group.
- The applicants who live in other than the slums, an income certificate from Tehsildar, Collector office must be attached.
- Scanned documents must be attached.
