Pune Municipal Corporation provided financial assistance to students in backward-class communities for higher technical education under Backward Welfare Scheme. Benefits will be given for medical, engineering, management or similar higher professional educational course.

Eligibility

  • Annual family income, by all means, should be less than Rs.1,00,000/-
  • Those born after 01/05/2001 and if the number of children in the family exceeds two due to this child, the benefit will not be availed.
  • Right to change the terms and conditions / reject the application Hon. Deputy Commissioner, Social Development Department. It will remain with Pune Municipal Corporation. Also, their decision regarding this matter will be final.

Documents

The applicants are required to attach the following documents -

  • Attested copy of applicant's Aadhaar Card and Bank Passbook must be attached.
  • Attested copy of ration card must be attached for child verification.
  • Birth certificate / school certificate or bonafide certificate required for proof of age.
  • As proof that the family has resided in the Pune Municipal Corporation for at least 3 years, Municipal Tax Receipt or Light Bill or Telephone Bill (Landline) or Hut Photo Pass / Hut Service Charge Receipt / Rent Agreement for last 3 years should be attached.
  • Caste certificate is required to be attached in case of backward class
  • Disability certificate will be required to be attached in case of disabled persons.
  • Slum applicants should attach income proof of neighborhood group group.
  • The applicants who live in other than the slums, an income certificate from Tehsildar, Collector office must be attached.
  • Passed in previous exam with more than 60% marks, must attach mark certificate.
  • College admission fee receipt must be attached. All the fields in the recommendation of the College Head must be filled
  • Scanned documents must be attached.
